On Sidewalk, your reputation is built by what you actually do — not by paying for badges or gaming an algorithm. Every completed job, every honest payment, and every contribution you make is recorded and reflected in a score that your neighbors can trust.

Three dimensions of real behavior. No shortcuts.

Did you finish the job? Did the person who hired you approve the work? This is the backbone of reputation. Every job you complete and get approved for pushes your score higher. If you post jobs, your follow-through as a creator matters too — did your jobs actually get to the finish line?
What counts: Jobs approved vs. total assigned. Volume bonus for consistent workers.

Money talks — and on Sidewalk, it talks honestly. When a job is done, both sides confirm the payment through our Honest Deal system. Your payment score reflects whether you follow through: did you send the money? Did you confirm receipt? Did you do it quickly, without disputes?
What counts: Honest Deal confirmations, dispute-free record, and speed of confirmation.
15% of your score
Sidewalk rewards people who show up for the neighborhood. Contributing money to fund someone else's job, posting work that needs doing, and simply being a consistent presence on the platform — it all adds up. This dimension recognizes the people who make the community stronger, not just the ones doing individual transactions.
What counts: Contributions to jobs, jobs posted, and time on the platform.
Your score places you in a tier. Every tier is reachable through real participation.
Getting Started
1 – 39
You've done your first job or made your first contribution. The neighborhood is getting to know you.
Rising
40 – 64
You're building a track record. People can see you show up and follow through.
Trusted
65 – 84
Consistent completions, clean payments, active in the community. You're someone people count on.
Neighborhood Star
85 – 100
The highest tier. You've proven reliability across every dimension. The neighborhood knows your name.
Nobody picks who gets a high score. The system reads directly from the blockchain of jobs, deals, and contributions on Sidewalk. If you did the work, the score reflects it. If you didn't, it reflects that too.
New users aren't penalized — they just don't have a track record yet. Your first completed job immediately moves you out of “New” status. There's no cold-start punishment.
If an Honest Deal is disputed, it will lower your payment score. But one dispute against a long track record of clean deals won't tank you. The system weights volume — a single bad day doesn't erase months of good work.
Confirming payments quickly earns a small bonus. If you're the kind of person who confirms a Venmo receipt the same day, you'll see that reflected. It's not a huge factor, but it rewards people who don't leave their neighbors waiting.
You don't have to be a worker to build reputation. Posting jobs that get completed, contributing funds to your neighbor's projects, and just being an active community member — all of it feeds into your score. Sidewalk values the full range of participation.
Your reputation score is recomputed from the latest data, not updated in real time. There may be a short delay between completing a job and seeing it reflected. This is by design — it keeps the system efficient and honest.
